Who we are

We void warranties for fun

42chips is the electronics association of 42 Paris. We learn by doing: building cool stuff, breaking it, fixing it, and pretending it was intentional.

Our HQ is the Labelec, a magical place full of machines, components and the occasional smell of magic smoke. Whether you've never touched a soldering iron or you already talk to your coffee machine over UART, you're welcome here.

Electronics, the 42 way

  • No boring lectures (we still give a few 😎)
  • No “read this 200-page manual”, unless the answer is inside 😉
  • Just projects, curiosity, and a lot of “oh… so that's why it didn't work”
  • You still have to talk to people (we don't bite)

The Labelec

Soldering stations, 3D printers, a laser cutter, a CNC and plenty of components: the lab is open to 42 students for electronics projects, your own included.
